Carnival Cruise Ships Begin Service from New Homeports

Two Carnival Cruise Line ships began service from new homeports over the past week. Carnival Breeze and Carnival Magic launched year-round programs from Port Canaveral and Miami, respectively, providing seagoing vacationers with new, exciting choices in two convenient Florida homeports.

Carnival Breeze kicked off its new Port Canaveral-based program with a special six-day cruise to Nassau, Amber Cove and Grand Turk that departed September 30, and was followed by the launch of year-round seven-day alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises on October 6. These week-long voyages depart every Saturday with eastern Caribbean itineraries visiting Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk.

Western Caribbean voyages feature Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Costa Maya, part of Carnival’s exclusive Cozumel Plus itineraries offering extended stays in Cozumel and a variety of attractive and interesting shore excursions on the island and the Mexican mainland.

On its new Miami-based schedule, Carnival Magic sails alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises departing Sundays. Eastern Caribbean cruises call at Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk, while western Caribbean departures feature Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel. A special seven-day Cozumel Plus holiday cruise will operate round-trip from Miami December 23-30, 2018, with an extended call in Cozumel and day-long visits to Belize, Mahogany Bay and Grand Cayman.

Carnival Magic joins the cruise line’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon which launched year-round Caribbean service from Miami September 23, as well as Carnival Glory, Carnival Sensation, and Carnival Victory, at Carnival Cruise Line’s busiest homeport. Carnival Breeze will also operate a 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise round-trip from Port Canaveral Saturday, November 3-17, 2018, with stops at eight scenic Caribbean destinations, including St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, St. Maarten, Tortola, and San Juan.

On Carnival Journeys cruises, guests can enjoy local cuisine and entertainment as well as unique enrichment opportunities.

Part of Carnival Cruise Line’s popular Dream-class, the 130,000-ton Carnival Magic and Carnival Breeze each offer a wide range of popular features, including massive WaterWorks aqua park, the Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub, two restaurants developed by Food Network star Guy Fieri, the Cucina del Capitano family-style Italian restaurant and the SportSquare open-air recreation complex.
