Carnival Cruise Ship Will Sail Cruise to Nowhere Due to Tropical Storm Nate

Carnival Cruise Line will sail a cruise to nowhere due to Tropical Storm Nate’s projected path in the Western Caribbean.

Carnival Triumph was originally scheduled to sail a four night cruise on October 5 from New Orleans with a stop Cozumel, Mexico.  The cruise line has now announced that the port stop has been canceled and the ship will now spend three days at sea.

All guests who decide to sail will receive a 50% refund of their cruise fare. Carnival Cruise Line is also offering a 50% credit on a future Carnival cruise. All pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, as well as taxes, fees and port expenses for Cozumel will be refunded to Sail and Sign accounts.

Guests also have the option to cancel the cruise.  If any guests wish to cancel the cruise, Carnival Cruise Line will issue a future cruise credit for the full amount of the cruise fare.  Additionally, they will receive a full refund for any pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, Fun Shop purchases and beverage packages. The refund will be processed to the original form of payment within three weeks.
